Software Freedom Day 2004

Software Freedom Day is an annual event which started on August 28, 2004. It aims for the advocacy of the use and development of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) throughout the world. It is also a day where FOSS users, developers, and advocates get to meet each other in their locales and exchange knowledge regarding the different areas of FOSS.

In the Philippines, UnPLUG together with other users' group, like PLUG and the BSD Users' Group, convened in the UP College of Engineering Theater to celebrate with the world. Different presentations were made and a lot of knowledge were shared.
