Software Freedom Day is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software. Here in the Philippines, UnPLUG actively collaborates with other organization to be one with the world in its celebration. Listed below are the reports on the celebration every year.



UnPLUG Software Freedom Bazaar

In line with this year's upcoming Software Freedom Day, UnPLUG will be holding a Software Freedom Bazaar this Friday, September 19, 2008. The event will start at 9:00am and end at about 6:00pm and will be held at the Engineering Library II Multimedia Room. Everybody is encouraged to attend. Software Freedom Day 2004

Software Freedom Day is an annual event which started on August 28, 2004. It aims for the advocacy of the use and development of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) throughout the world. It is also a day where FOSS users, developers, and advocates get to meet each other in their locales and exchange knowledge regarding the different areas of FOSS.

UP Diliman - The first UnPLUG Monthly General Meeting - Face to Face (MGM-F2F) for the year 2009 was held today at UP Alumni Engineers Centennial Building 2nd Floor, January 19. Eighteen people were present in the said meeting. Topics discussed include the appointment of new officers, the upcoming university-wide implementation of HALALAN, CS Week, participation in ACLE, and the CWS lecture series. Stuff like T-shirts, Linux and Webdev tutorials were also tackled.
