Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Staff Linux Training

Due to the conversion of offices in UP Diliman to Linux, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) coordinated with UnPLUG to conduct a training on Linux and OpenOffice.org. The training was held on January 14 and 21, 2004. The first day of training introduced the OVCSA staff to the history of Linux, the concept of Open Source and basic Linux usage. The second day, on the other hand, tackled word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations using the OpenOffice.org suite.

The two-day training was attended by 22 members of the OVCSA staff and was held at the Microcomputer room of the UP Computer Center.
