Other EventsAs part of the University's 2009 Alternative Classroom Learning Experience, the University of the Philippines Linux Users' Group will be holding an ACLE class entitled "From Boxes to Bootup: Build Your Own PC". This will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, from 1 PM at the UP Computer Center.
Speakers will discuss and demonstrate how to build your own computer from parts, and get it up and running with Linux. They will also discuss the advantages of free and open source software (FOSS) on your computing life. There will also be a practical component of the class as participants will get a chance to build a PC themselves.
