The workshop, which was held on December 1, 2004 at Melchor Hall Room 215, discussed basic formatting, layouts and mathematics in LaTeX, a text formatting language. LyX, a high-level text processor for LaTeX, was also discussed to speed up document creation. A companion module developed by UnPLUG for the workshop, complete with exercises and tutorials, were given to the UP Diliman CS 192 (Software Engineering) attendees.
